What is ELOS?
ELOS stands for Electrical Optical Synergy, is a technology that combines intense pulsed light (IPBL) with radio frequency which is intended to increase effectiveness and safety of the intense pulsed light used.
What sort of problems can be treated with ELOS?
ELOS skin rejuvenation (ELOS-SR) is beneficial for skin renewal through treating:
1. pigmentation problems
2. blood vessel enlargement
3. fine wrinkles
4. enlarged pores
5. sun ageing
While Intense Pulsed Blue Light (IPBL) itself is very effective to treat acne.
For removing unwanted hair on face or certain body part like moustache, beard, armpit, bikini line, hand/leg, ELOS Hair Removal (ELOS – HR) will do the best.
What to be prepared before therapy?
Stop using any peeling stimulant products 3 days prior to therapy. To remove hair by shaving, better to be done 1 day before therapy.
How is the procedure?
Special eye protector will be put to protect eyes. An anesthetic cream also can be given. The therapy itself will take 20-30 minutes. After that a redness will shown but will dissapear soon.
How frequent ELOS therapy need to be done?
ELOS-SR needs to be repeated every 4 weeks, IPBL for acne can be done twice a week, for ELOS-HR can be repeated every 6-8 weeks.
What are possibly side effects?
Although rarely but these could happen:
1. burnt
2. infection
3. temporary changes in pigment
How is skin condition after therapy?
A bit redness could occur but will disappear with a cold pack. Wound is very rarely happen, so you can continue your daily activity, but it is still recommended to avoid direct sunlight exposure. After ELOS your dermatologist will suggest using certain skincare to maximize the result of the therapy.
When ELOS cannot be performed?
1. Right after having sunbathe
2. For whom having light hypersensitivity
3. In the middle of consuming any photosensitivity medication
4. Having infections
5. Pregnancy
Is ELOS can be combined with other therapies?
ELOS can be combined with other therapies like treatment cream, Chemical Peel, Botox Cosmetic, Dermal Filler, Crystal Peel, and also other medical & non-medical therapy.
